Triple F.A.T Goose

The Brand

Triple F.A.T. Goose is a brand that dates back to 1984. Known for jackets made with extra loft, the F.A.T. in Triple F.A.T. Goose stands for “For Arctic Temperatures.” Many of the initial jackets were very ski inspired and were made with thick goose down fill. Wearers of Triple F.A.T. Goose jackets equated Triple F.A.T. Goose jackets with warmth and quality. Triple F.A.T. Goose was known as “the” authentic brand for outdoors goods. Recently, the brand was reintroduced to the market after a hiatus. During this break from market, Triple F.A.T. Goose enjoyed a strong underground following which served as a solid foundation for reintroducing the brand. The brand was reintroduced about 3 years ago primarily as an outerwear collection. Some of the styles from the initial collection were throwbacks of designs from the Triple FAT Goose era of the 1980’s and 1990’s.

However, the jackets were manufactured with the same attention to detail, utilizing quality materials in the manufacturing process. At the same time, many of these styles were updated with new, contemporary looks.

Probably the most notable difference was the introduction of a sportswear collection. The outerwear collection has maintained the name Triple F.A.T. Goose. These goods are comprised of bubble coats made with quality Goose Down fill. Meanwhile, the sportswear has taken on the name “TFG,” and has evolved into a lifestyle collection comprised of contemporary looks with key focus on detailed accessories and fabrications. Major retail distribution channels including Macys (Federated Department Stores) and specialty store chains in the United States such as Shelmar. The Triple F.A.T. Goose brands cater to the youth market (ages 16-25), yet at the same time, has loyal consumers who grew up with the brand who are now 26 through 40 years of age.
